Okay…I think I’ve just made my favorite dinner recipe yet. This combination may sound a little weird, but stay with me I promise. Cranberry & Feta Turkey Meatballs are the tastiest and easiest weeknight meal that the whole family will love! They are gluten-free, refined sugar-free, and require zero fat or oil. I’m telling you, this is going to become your new favorite meal. These meatballs taste like Thanksgiving!

When I first told my sister that I wanted to put cranberries & feta cheese into turkey meatballs, she looked at me like I had three heads. Trader Joe’s used to sell Cranberry Turkey Meatballs in the fall, and they were my FAVORITE. I wanted to put my own spin on them and add my favorite cheese for some extra flavor. This recipe is perfect for meal prep, especially since all you have to do is stick them in the oven. You need to make these.

How to Make the Meatballs

I’ve always been hesitant about making meatballs because I don’t like frying foods. Not for health reasons, just because I’m scared of burning it or not cooking it enough! These turkey meatballs are baked, so you don’t need to worry about that here!

To start off, you’re going to combine all of the ingredients needed for this recipe in a large bowl. You can use a spoon, but I prefer to just go in with my hands to mix everything together. Be careful not to over mix it, because that will make the meatballs tough.

Once you have everything totally combined, you’re ready to form the meatballs. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil or parchment paper and spray it with nonstick cooking spray.

Use a tablespoon-sized ice cream scooper to scoop the meatballs so that they’re perfectly even. I like to scoop the meatball, then scrape it against the side of the bowl so that any excess will come off the sides. This way, all of the meatballs are the same size.

If you use an ice cream scooper to make the meatballs, you don’t need to roll them in your hands. If you’re not using a scooper, you may want to roll the meatballs in your hands to make them round.

Bake the turkey meatballs for 20 minutes in a 375-degree oven and you’re all set! Let them cool completely before storing.

Ways to Serve

These turkey meatballs aren’t the traditional meatball that you eat with spaghetti and red sauce…So how should you eat them? Here are a few of my favorite ways:

  • In salads
  • On top of rice or quinoa
  • As an appetizer
  • Dipped in gravy or cranberry sauce
  • Sliced on pizza

How to Store the Turkey Meatballs

If you’re making these turkey meatballs for meal-prep or have some leftovers, you can store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Make sure you let the meatballs cool completely before refrigerating. They will stay fresh in there for 5-7 days.

You can also store these meatballs in the freezer for quick weeknight meals. After you bake them and allow them to cool, place the baking sheet into the freezer to flash freeze them for 20-30 minutes. This ensures that the meatballs won’t stick together when you freeze them. Then, take the tray out and place the turkey meatballs into a freezer-safe bag. They will stay fresh in the freezer for up to 6 months.
