Another tasty chocolate and banana combination coming at you! I always seem to have ripe bananas lying around (or I may buy extra on purpose…) No matter how you get ripe bananas, you HAVE to make these chocolate banana fudge cookies! They have an amazing fudgy texture with the sweet taste of bananas. If you have never tried chocolate and banana together, this is your sign. If you really want to take it to the next level, you can add peanut butter…the perfect trio of flavors!
My sister is insisting I make these again ASAP. They are fudgy, have a brownie-like texture, and are packed with vitamin E, magnesium, and potassium from the almond flour, cacao powder, and bananas. These banana fudge cookies are gluten-free, dairy-free, and refined sugar-free, but they are not free of flavor. Make sure you try them out!
What Ingredients Do I Need?
You guessed it, banana and chocolate are definitely a necessity for these cookies. Here is everything you need:
- Bananas
- Maple syrup
- Peanut butter
- Vanilla extract
- Cacao powder
- Almond flour
- Salt
- Baking powder
- Chocolate chips
Making the Cookies
One of the reasons why I love this recipe so much is because it only requires one bowl! Less clean up = better in my book.
To start off, you want to mash the bananas in a large bowl until they are smooth (a few lumps are okay). Then you add the maple syrup, peanut butter, and vanilla extract.
Once the wet ingredients are combined, you can add the remaining dry ingredients, except for the chocolate chips. When a thick batter has formed, the chocolate chips can be folded in.
I like to chill the batter in the refrigerator for at least 20 minutes to firm up a bit before I form the cookies. Once your batter has chilled, take a tablespoon or cookie scoop and form the cookies onto a baking sheet. All that’s left is to bake them!
Since these cookies are vegan, you could totally eat the cookie dough as is…No judgment.

I absolutely LOVE the cacao powder
Add-Ins
If you want to make these cookies a little more interesting, you can definitely add some fun ingredients. These mix-ins would be absolutely amazing in these banana fudge cookies:
- White chocolate chips
- Chopped nuts
- Peanut butter chips
- Coconut flakes
- Crushed graham crackers
- Dried cranberries
How Should I Store These?
These cookies are best left in the refrigerator for up to 1 week, or in the freezer for up to 6 months.
