My Top 13 Amazon Beauty Essentials

Does anyone else care about self-care and beauty routines, but doesn’t want to spend the money? I truly do care about feeling confident and beautiful with my hair and skin, but just never know where to start. That is where my Amazon beauty essentials come in!

I go on Youtube, try and watch a few beauty favorites and skin-care videos, but just end up getting bored (I know, it’s bad). I always end up fast-forwarding to the end or just looking in the description for the product links. Anyone else!?

When it comes to beauty products, I’m on the hunt for easy, cheap, quick, and effective. I am not, nor will I ever be the type of person to spend hundreds of dollars at Sephora or Ulta. I usually get most of my beauty essentials from Target, Walmart, or Amazon. Amazon has especially been a lifesaver for me, especially during quarantine. It’s so easy to just click, buy, and get it to your door the next day (and also a little dangerous). Plus, if you’re a student, you get 6 months free of Amazon Prime, then get 50% off each month! Such a good deal.

Amazon can be really overwhelming. It pretty much has everything under the sun on it. From high-end products to some clunkers, it’s all there. It can be hard to figure out which products are good, and which ones just fall flat. I rely heavily on product reviews, but those can be mixed as well. It’s nice to see what other people are using because they are giving their honest and trusted opinions.

I wanted to share my top 13 Amazon beauty essentials because I’ve tried them all, and they actually work! Every product is affordable, simple, and great for college students on a budget. Check out my top 13 Amazon beauty essentials!

Top 13 Amazon Beauty Essentials:

1. FoxyBae L
eave-In Conditioner

This product has been a miracle for my hair. I have some seriously THICK hair. It frizzes up when I let it air-dry, so I always end up wearing it in a ponytail or messy bun. Since trying this leave-in conditioner, my hair is smooth, soft, and doesn’t dry so wild. Plus, it smells amazing and lasts a long time. I also love the 12-In-1 Magic Daily Leave-In Hair Mask from FoxyBae for calming frizz. I use both products right after my shower when my hair is wet and let it air-dry. I’ll never go without them!

2. Moroccan Oil Hair Treatment

Another miracle product for frizzy hair. This one is a bit of a splurge, but it truly does work. When my hair is damp, I just put a dime-sized amount in my hands, rub it around and apply it to my hair, focusing on the ends. It really calms frizzy hair and doesn’t make my hair so puffy. I’m finally able to wear my hair down again! I love this product because it doesn’t leave my hair feeling oily or heavy.

3. Paul Mitchell Purple Shampoo

If you’re a fellow blonde, you need to invest in purple shampoo. It helps keep your blonde bright and prevents it from getting brassy. I only wash my hair twice a week, so I use a normal shampoo first, then shampoo again with my purple shampoo. I’ve found that this shampoo keeps my hair blonder for longer…because let’s be real, no one has the time OR money to be getting highlights 10 times a year. There seem to be so many purple shampoos on the market, but I’ve found that this one is super affordable and actually works.

4. H2Ocean Piercing Spray

Ear piercings are one of my guilty pleasures. I love getting new piercings to change up my look and add a little something. Earrings are such fun accessories to play around with, especially when you wear your hair up a lot. When I got my rook pierced last year, my piercer recommended this product to me. You just spray it on your piercing, rinse your ear, and you’re set. I’ve never had any issues with my piercings since using this product!

5. Nivea Chapstick

Does anyone else carry multiple chapsticks around with them at all times? I’m not sure if my lips are actually dry, or if its just fun to apply chapstick, but either way, I always have mine with me. I’ve invested in expensive chapstick to see if it works better, but I always end up coming back to this one. It truly feels like butter on your lips and leaves them feeling soft and refreshed.

6. Elf Camo Concealer

This concealer is NO JOKE. It hides every imperfection on your face with only a teeny, tiny amount. Just the smallest touch of it to my face takes care of my dark under eyes and acne. It’s great under concealer, or just on its own. I don’t think I’ve worn makeup since quarantine started, but I know that this product will make a redemption when it’s time to go out again.

7. Elf Flawless Finish Foundation

Another amazing Elf product. Besides the fact that these products are extremely affordable, they’re also amazing quality. I tried out a bunch of Elf products when I saw Jeffree Star review them. Luckily, we have the same skin tone, so I knew exactly which shades and products to get. This foundation goes on my skin beautifully and stays on for hours. A must-have for a night out.

8. CeraVe PM Facial Moisturizing Lotion

I have been using this moisturizer since middle school. If it’s ain’t broken, why fix it? My dermatologist recommended this moisturizer to me for acne and oily skin. It doesn’t weigh my skin down or make it feel oily or greasy. Moisturizer is SO important for keeping our skin hydrated and young. I don’t know about you guys, but I want to try and stay wrinkle-free for as long as possible.

9. Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water

I’m sure you guys have heard this countless times, but makeup wipes are not your friend. They’re super harsh on your skin because you’re rubbing and pulling your face around with them. I switched to Micellar water and absolutely love it. I put some on a cotton pad and gently rub it on my face and eyes. Even with mascara, it takes it right off without a problem. I even use some after I workout to get the sweat and oil off my face to prevent breakouts.

10. Silk Pillowcases

Another frizzy hair miracle product! I’ve heard for years that silk pillowcases are better for your hair and won’t cause damage while you sleep. I finally bought some for college and absolutely love them. I notice such a difference when I sleep on my silk pillowcase vs. a cotton one. My hair isn’t crazy in the morning and has less breakage. These pillowcases are super affordable and will help your hair and skin immensely.

11. Sleep Mask

When I moved into my first college apartment, I was woken up at 6:00 am to a full-blown sunny sky. I knew I needed something to help me sleep more (especially as a college student, sleep is sacred). This sleep mask blocks out everything. I can sleep for hours with this thing and no amount of sun or light is going to get in the way of that. I never sleep somewhere without it!

12. Formula 10.0.6 Face Masks

I’m always on the hunt for good quality, affordable face masks. I received a bundle of these face masks as a Christmas gift, and they are AWESOME! I only use them about once or twice a week, but they really brighten my skin and leave it feeling super clean afterward. My skin doesn’t feel stripped or dry after I take it off, which is something I’m always looking for with face masks.

13. Alba Botanica Cleansing Face Mask

I actually first found this product at TJ Maxx for only a few dollars. I wanted to try it out because my sister uses their products and absolutely loves them. Just using this product on my face for 5 minutes, once a week makes the biggest difference. My skin feels so much cleaner afterward and calms down my acne. It’s only recommended to be used once a week, so it lasts forever.

I hope you guys take a look at these products and try some out! Finding good quality and affordable hair and skincare products can be tough. Remember that not every product will work the same on everyone. Just because it works for me, doesn’t mean it will work for you. I will say that I have nothing but positive things to say about all of these products. Plus, they’re all super affordable, so it won’t cost you much to just try them out!

xoxo
