Peanut Butter Pretzel Bark

Jump to Recipe

Another peanut butter, pretzel, and chocolate combination…are you sensing a pattern here? If you’re not sure what I’m referring to, you can check out my peanut butter pretzel blondies here. It just seems to be the best combination that I always come back to! Between the sweetness of the chocolate and peanut butter, and the crunch and saltiness from the pretzels…I’m drooling already. Instead of baking in this recipe, I wanted to try something that was simple, no-bake, and delicious. That’s where this peanut butter pretzel bark comes in!

Growing up, we always received some kind of chocolate bark during the holidays. It seems like it’s one of those traditional recipes that’s correlated with the colder months and holidays. I’m here to say that it is good ALL year-round. Fall is coming up, but the weather is still warm, which means that anything cold and chocolatey is right up my ally! This peanut butter pretzel bark is kept in the freezer so it’s nice and cold which totally hits the spot. Make sure you give this recipe a try!

What Ingredients Do I Need?

Only 4 ingredients are needed for this insanely delicious peanut butter pretzel bark! Everything you need is in the title, but I’ll tell you anyway. Here’s everything you need:

  • Chocolate chips
  • Coconut oil
  • Peanut butter
  • Pretzels

Melting the Chocolate

I took the easy route in this recipe and used the microwave. Nothing wrong with that, it works perfectly fine! You can also melt the chocolate and coconut oil over a double boiler if you don’t have access to a microwave. Just bring a pot of water to a boil, and place a glass bowl on top. IMPORTANT – make sure the bowl does not touch the water. If it does, the chocolate will burn! Just let the steam of the water heat the chocolate. Stir continuously and it will melt in a few minutes.

Mix-Ins

I added pretzels and peanut butter to this chocolate bark, but it really is a blank canvas. Chocolate bark is a vehicle for so many ingredients and toppings. Here are some toppings that would be amazing:

  • White chocolate chips and craisins
  • Chopped nuts
  • Dried fruit
  • Coconut flakes
  • Chopped candy canes
  • Peanut butter and jelly
  • Flaky sea salt
  • Pumpkin seeds (perfect for fall!)
  • Chopped M&M’s
  • Graham crackers and marshmallows

How Should I Store This?

Since I used all-natural peanut butter for this recipe, it has to be kept in the freezer. If not, the peanut butter won’t set and just cause a huge mess. No one has time for that. Store the bark in an airtight bag in the freezer for up to 6 months!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

  • 2 heaped tbsp coconut oil

  • 1/4 cup all-natural peanut butter*

  • 1 cup pretzels

Directions

  • In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips and coconut oil. Microwave in 30 second intervals until melted, stirring in between. Mine took about 2 minutes to melt completely.
  • On a parchment lined baking sheet, pour the chocolate and spread until it’s evenly spread.
  • Working quickly, drizzle the peanut butter on top of the chocolate. Use a knife to spread it around if needed.
  • Place the pretzels all over the chocolate and peanut butter. Once they’re all spread on top, place the tray in the freezer to set for at least 2 hours.
  • When the bark is set, remove it from the freezer and break it into large to medium-sized pieces. Place them in an airtight bag and store them in the freezer.

Notes

  • * If not using all-natural peanut butter, microwave your peanut butter for 30 seconds to make it easier to drizzle on the chocolate bark.
