What Ingredients Do I Need?

The base of this recipe only requires 3 ingredients! Toppings can tack on a few more, but here’s what you’re going to need:

Making the Yogurt Bark

There’s really no way you can go wrong with this recipe (it’s that fool-proof).

Start by combining the yogurt, cacao powder, and maple syrup in a large bowl. You can also double or triple this recipe to make a larger batch, but my freezer unfortunately doesn’t accommodate for that.

Line a plate or baking sheet with parchment paper that can fit in your freezer. Spread the yogurt on the parchment paper in an even layer, making sure it’s not too thin. Crush your toppings and add them right on top of the yogurt. You can use your hands to press them down into the yogurt a bit.

Place the plate or dish into the freezer for 3-5 hours for the yogurt to harden. Once hard, you can remove the yogurt from the parchment paper and use your hands to break it a part. You can make the pieces as large or as small as you like. Totally up to you! Place the pieces into a freezer-safe bag or container to have whenever you want!

Different Topping Options

As I’ve been saying, you can really get creative with this recipe when it comes to toppings. I used graham crackers and granola, but the possibilities are truly endless. Here are some other ingredients that would be super tasty with this chocolate yogurt bark:

  • Creamy peanut butter
  • Crushed pretzels
  • Chocolate chips
  • Mini peanut butter cups
  • Mixed berries
  • Sliced banana
  • Crushed nuts
  • Cookies or Oreos
  • Any type of candy

You get the gist!

How to Store

You can store the yogurt bark in the freezer to maintain its shape and texture. Once you break the yogurt into pieces, place them in a freezer-safe bag to be stored in there. It can be eaten straight from the freezer and will stay good in there for up to 3 months.
